Loom 3D is Kyle Begeman’s independent 3D inspection plugin for ChatGPT. Open an STL or self-contained GLB, check dimensions and build-volume fit, measure an edge, section the model, and mark a precise change request.

Try the viewer or connect https://loom3d.kylebegeman.com/mcp as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT. Host features vary by client and account. This initial release is under verification and has not been submitted to the public directory.

What you can inspect

Binary and ASCII STL, plus static, uncompressed GLB with embedded PNG/JPEG textures. Files are limited to 25 MiB and 2,000,000 triangles. Geometry uses millimetres with Z up. STL units are disclosed assumptions; GLB metre/Y-up coordinates are normalized.

This is an inspection tool. It does not execute CAD scripts, edit source models, slice files, or send print jobs. A bounding-box fit result is not a printability guarantee.
